Location History

Recently I found information about the location that we filmed in which could benefit the films backstory.
As already established the house was built in the 1800's which adds to the gothic look of the film. However after deeper research into the houses origins I have found out that the house has a dark history and legends around it.
The main piece of history about the house is:

This article states that a man was murdered in 1531, by his wife and servant after it states that the wife had lived a long and unhappy life while living with him and somebody (apparently a king, but not stated which) was starved to death in the house. This puts a gruesome history around the house. After these events a series of tragic events took to the house such as a great fire and the destruction of half of the property. Most files and artefacts were destroyed and lost between these events and the houses history has remained mostly unknown.

This what the house looed like before it was split in to the two halves, our film being filmed around the back of this.

This creates a more eerie backstory to the film as where the Ouija board has been used there has been a series of dark events which make the overall mood of the horror more gloomy. If we were to make a feature length film this information could be incorporated as it would give back story's to the demonic entity's that we plan to be the main antagonist in the film.
