Target Audience Profile
Age: 15-25
Gender: Our film can appeal to both genders because even though stereotypically males, our survey showed that the majority of females picked horror as their preferred genre.
Interests: Horror, supernatural creatures/objects, fear of the unknown and thrills.
The
usual age for someone watching a horror movie is between 15 and 25, which is
the age group we chose for our film Retention. From our research we concluded
that people in this particular age group are at key stages of their development
and have a want to try new things. This age group typically seeks thrills and
horror movies give this thrill and can excite the younger audiences are lot
easier than the older. The younger audiences are less likely to be put off a
film judging by its violence or unnatural images which makes them perfect for
our target audience.
